Smashbox nasce dalla volontà di cambiare il design, i materiali e il processo produttivo degli attuali packaging per calzature. Smashbox si pone l’obiettivo di implementare la possibilità di riutilizzo da parte dell’utente attraverso un valore aggiunto. Il packaging si trasforma in un oggetto utile, un complemento delle scarpe che le accompagna durante il loro ciclo di vita.

La ricerca iniziale è stata focalizzata sulle attuali problematiche del packaging per calzature. Dall’analisi emerge come vi sia un eccessivo impiego di materiali e confezioni, che uniti ai grandi numeri di produzione hanno un impatto sull’ambiente.
